God of Peace and War

I am a God of peace and a God of war.  I call you to both.  Your longing for peace was placed within you.  It is a seed that will one day come to full bloom.  You catch glimpses of it now enough to cause you to cry out for more.  Those longings will be fulfilled in My time, but now comes the time of waiting, of listening to My voice, of gaining strength from My presence, and of learning the art of obedience, so that when the battles come, and they will, you will be ready, dressed in full battle array.  You will be able to cry, "For the honor of My King and the deliverance of His weak ones from the power of evil."  Don't ignore the martial.  There is great need of it in the pursuit of peace.  Go and learn today of obedience to Me, of strength and courage. You are a warrior.  I give you permission to learn to fight, to know the thrill of My power in your victory, to exercise hard love that calls others up to the higher ground.  I will show you the battles which are yours to fight as you walk in obedience to Me.  Learn this day what Your Commander asks of you, and follow, no matter how ridiculous My demands appear.  You must learn that it is not in your strength that these battles are won, but in Mine.  I must strip  you of all that would falsely cry within you, "Look what I have done!"  My work in you will not quit until I have accomplished all that I purpose.  Now go in the power and grace of your King who loves you with an everlasting love.
